To all of our dear brothers and sisters who have been praying for us, here is a brief update...
Thank you so much for your prayers! Eva and I greatly appreciate them; and the Lord, according to His will, in His timing, and His way, is answering them. We have been utterly blessed to see what the Lord is unfolding, and we want to share it all with you.
It's only been two weeks since we officially began this journey, and quite a bit has already happened...here’s what we’ve been up to.
We have…
- a name
- a logo
- a website in progress
- begun to prepare administrative paperwork
- gathered our "Guiding Principles" (Why we do what we do)
- doctrinal statement
- business cards printed
- sketched out a plan for a Bible study and fellowship
- had numerous meetings and communications with people whom the Lord appears to be moving to be part of this new work.
Praise God for all of these!
All this has taken place while I've been working 50+ hours a week at Prescott College and Eva and I just spent several days recovering from a bad stomach flu. (Thank you so much for your prayers on our behalf, we’re better now.)
Eph 3:20, "Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen."
This is not hyperbole, it is simply the Lord answering all of your prayers in protecting, providing, and granting us favor. To Him, be the glory! We are seeing how the Lord’s plan is using all of the gifts and abilities that He has given Eva and me to use at such a time as this. Spiritually, physically, technologically, administratively, in good stewardship, with relationships, for genuine care; these, along with your prayers, have all been vital in the work so far and will continue to be as the Lord shapes and grows this work.
We will keep you updated on our progress and together with you, we will rejoice at each step. Please don’t hesitate to contact us if you’d like to know more about what we’re doing. We are excited about the vision the Lord has given us for this church plant, and we love to tell people about it!
